ITM 6.1 Raleigh Class (Update)

The ITM 6.1 Operators and Administrators class that will be held in Raleigh, NC on February 20, 2006 will be the first official public class run for ITM 6.1. Currently there are still some seats available. I wanted to update some more information about the class.

Jason Shamroski will be teaching the class. Jason has been working with the Tivoli products for over 10 years and has been specifically focusing on the ITM 6.1 product for over a year. He was one of the most active BETA participants for ITM 6.1. He also has authored three redbooks related to ITM 6.1:

  • Certification Guide Series:IBM Tivoli Monitoring V 6.1

  • Getting Started with IBM Tivoli Monitoring 6.1 on Distributed Environments

  • Implementing IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for WebSphere Business Integration V1.1


  • Jason has already taught a few private customer workshops on ITM 6.1 with excellent reviews and has already implemented the product at two customer sites.

    The topics that are going to be discussed in the class are as follows:

  • Introduction and overview

  • Using and navigating the TEP

  • Managing Situations

  • Integrating the TEC Console with ITM 6.1

  • Administering ITM 6.1

  • More advanced work with situations

  • Configuring logical views and customizing workspaces

  • Configuring and working with the new ITM 6.1 Data Warehouse

  • Publishing Workspaces


  • By request from users we have also added an optional fifth day covering Universal Agents.
