Backup your TEMS

TEMS uses a proprietary database, called EIB database, but making sure it's backed up is not available out of the box, but fairly straight forward to setup.

Note: $CANDLEHOME should be set to yout ITM install directory.

Hub TEMS

Use routine filesystem backup, tar/zip or similar compression, etc., to backup $CANDLEHOME/tables//*

To keep HTEMS in lock-step with a hot standy TEMS, you can mirror this directory, but maintain the original KBBENV which contains host-specific info about the TEMS.

Remote TEMS

Use filesystem backup, tar/zip or similar compression, etc., to backup $CANDLEHOME/tables//*

Routine backup of this directory on RTEMS is not necessary. Obtain a new backup if an ITM fixpack or application support is installed.

There is documentation on this out on the IBM OPAL site
